As you know, one of this government’s five priority areas is to educate for good jobs in Nova Scotia. Private Career Colleges fill a vital role in the post-secondary education system. This college will help more Nova Scotians’ have access to post secondary education and training to prepare them for jobs they want, jobs that must be filled for Nova Scotia to prosper. Students in Truro and surrounding area now have more choice as they plan their post-secondary education. For example, it has been nearly 10 years since a Cosmetology Program has been taught in Truro.

We are very happy to be offering this exciting career choice here once again in the Truro area. Our college also has a full working Hair Salon with trained stylist Josh Michelin and Master Stylists Debbie MacCallum and Earleen Leier. Victoria Court Hair Salon is always looking to take on new clients so if you are looking for a fresh new cut and colour stop in or call the salon and we will be glad to set up an appointment with one of our trained stylists or with one of the students. The students will be looking to take on clients and models, so please drop in for a list of prices and services we will be offering.

I am happy to announce the official opening of Victoria Court Career College. The Grand Opening for the college was held on January 29, 2009 with the Honourable Brooke Taylor, Minister of Transportation and the Honourable Mayor Bill Mills cutting the ribbon for the official opening. The grand opening was a wonderful event with many of the business people of Truro on hand to see the college for the first time. Thank you to everyone who attended and special thanks to Minister Taylor and Mayor Mills.
